Life in 22 Taps does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics and no tracking. Everything the app knows about you stays on your phone.
In one line: we have no server, so there is nowhere for your information to go.
Who we are
Life in 22 Taps is published by Myrvo Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17034685), Chandos Business Centre, 87 A Warwick Street, Leamington Spa, CV32 4RJ, United Kingdom. Contact us at support@lifein22taps.com.
What the app reads
To sort your apps into life areas, the app reads the list of apps installed on your phone — their names, icons and package names. This is the same list your phone already shows in its own app drawer. It is read while the app is open, used to draw the screen, and never sent anywhere.
Nothing is requested when you install the app. It cannot read your contacts, messages, photos, location, camera or microphone, because it never asks for access to them.
Two optional features ask Android for a specific access, and only at the moment you switch them on yourself: notification dots and the forgotten-apps list. Both are described below, both are off until you turn them on, and either can be withdrawn at any time in Android’s own settings.
Notification dots (optional, off by default)
If you switch on notification dots in settings, Android will ask you to grant Notification access. Android describes this access broadly, because an app with it could read notifications. Life in 22 Taps uses it for one thing only: to know which app has a notification, so it can show a red dot and a count on that app and its tile.
- It never reads a notification’s title, text, sender or pictures.
- It stores nothing about your notifications; the counts exist only in memory while the app runs.
- It sends nothing anywhere. The app has no internet access.
- Dots on a locked tile are hidden, so a lock never reveals what’s behind it.
If you never switch dots on, Android never grants the access and none of this happens. You can switch dots off in the app, and remove the access completely in Android’s own settings, at any time.
What is stored, and where
| What | Where it is kept |
|---|---|
| Favourites and recently opened apps | On your phone only |
| Apps you have moved to a different tile | On your phone only |
| Locked tiles and your Parent PIN | On your phone only, and the PIN is stored as a salted hash, never as the PIN itself |
| Your colour choice, offers country, tile transparency, and whether the Offers tile is shown | On your phone only |
None of this is transmitted. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Backups you create
The app can save your settings to a file that you choose the location for. That file is yours: we never see it, and it goes wherever you put it. If you save it to a cloud service, that service's own privacy policy applies to it.
Crash reports
If the app stops unexpectedly, it writes the technical error to a file on your phone so you can see what happened. Nothing is sent automatically. If you choose to share a crash report or an app list with us by email, we use it only to fix the problem and to improve how apps are sorted, and we delete it when that is done.
Offers and events
The Offers tile shows local deals, events and sponsored items. Sponsors pay for these slots, and that is the only advertising in the app.
Offers are shipped inside the app itself and change with the weekly update. Nothing is fetched from a server, because the app has no internet access. Which offers you see depends on one thing: the country code your SIM reports, or the country you set yourself in settings. That check happens on your phone, needs no permission, uses no location, and the result is never sent anywhere.
We do not profile you. Advertisers are given no information about you, not even a count of who saw an offer. Nothing appears over your other apps: Offers is a single tile you choose to open, and you can switch it off completely in settings.
Apps you have not opened in a year (optional, off by default)
This is a tidy-up list in settings. Android will only tell an app when another app was last opened if you grant Usage access, so the list stays empty until you do.
- It reads one thing per app: the date it was last opened. Not what you did in it, not how long for, not how often.
- It stores nothing. The dates are read while the list is on screen and then forgotten.
- It sends nothing anywhere. The app has no internet access.
- Apps that came with your phone are left out, and the app never removes anything: tapping an entry opens Android’s own page for that app, where you decide.
If you never switch it on, Android never grants the access and none of this happens.
Buying the app
Life in 22 Taps is a paid app. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play, under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. We never see your card details, your address or your Google account. Refunds are requested through Google Play, not through us.
Children
Life in 22 Taps is a general organiser for everyone, not a service aimed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children. The tile-locking feature is a tidying tool operated by the person holding the phone; it is not a monitoring or supervision service, and it does not report to anyone.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. Because we hold none, there is nothing for us to give you or delete. Deleting the app removes everything it has stored on your phone. If you have emailed us a report, write to us and we will delete it.
This website
lifein22taps.com sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other sites. Like any web host, the company that hosts it keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the service. We don't use those logs to identify anyone.
If this changes
If a future version of the app collects or transmits anything, we will update this page before that version is released, and say plainly what changed and why. The date at the top always shows when this policy was last revised.
